Fullstack Job: Senior Engineering Manager (Platform)

The job in two bullets:

Ø An expert in your field – This role involves being the senior technologist in the business, someone who can innovate, problem solve and take our platform to the highest level of performance and integrity for our customers.

Ø Lead from the front – This role will require a hands-on leader who can not only can develop prototypes, contribute to code, review code and evaluate technologies. But will also lead, inspire motivate the platform team to expand their knowledge and capabilities.

The Senior Engineering Manager of the Platform Team will be responsible for:

• Leading the Platform team to achieve greatness and assist in making MyCompliance the best performing cyber awareness platform on the planet.
• Assisting the CTO to deliver the best product and software for customers.
• Working with the Software Product Director and CTO to plan and follow the product roadmap.
• Collaborating with Product Management to determine software requirements.
• Assist in creating high-level product specifications, architecture, and design documents with the ability to write concise yet comprehensive technical documentation.
• Ensuring there is consistent use of shared platform components and technologies.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with coding or design.
• Be a go-to resource for Architecture issues on the platform and assist stakeholders as required.

Now for the formalities:

The successful candidate will have

• A Degree or Masters in a Computer Science/IT/Engineering discipline.
• At least 6 years software engineering experience, with relevant management and architecture experience including developing architectural patterns and practices.
• An exceptional knowledge of C#, .NET, Asp.net and the overall Microsoft developer stack.
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Development tools, including Azure Devops, Visual Studio and testing tools.
• Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Azure and associated technologies, including Azure SQL, Azure App Service is required.
• Must be fluent in spoken and written English
• Exceptional attention to detail required and excellent written and oral communication skills
• Continuously demonstrate willingness and persistence to innovate personally
• Exhibit strong determination to overcome hurdles, solve a problem and complete the job
• Anticipates unplanned events and adjusts accordingly
• Seeks better ways to do things
